Dr. Wallace Brunson graduated from the University of Texas Dental School, practiced in Houston, and moved to Santa Fe in 1994. He is the only Santa Fe dentist to have received a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry which requires over 1500 hours of classroom and clinical continuing education. He has also been honored with Fellowships in the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Brunson has served as Vice-President of the Greater Houston Dental Society and on the Continuing Education Advisorary Comittee at the University of Texas Dental School. He also served on three hospital staffs in the Houston area providing dental care to the skilled care units and emergency rooms and is currently on staff at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe providing inpatient and emergency room care.
For 18 years, Dr. Brunson has been in private practice in Santa Fe, providing health-centered general dentistry for his patients. He is well skilled in all aspects of general dentistry from diagnostic to complex restorative care. His practice includes cosmetic dentistry, laser periodontal therapy, endodontics, implant reconstruction, removable prosthodontics, posterior composite restorations, and holistic dentistry for environmentally ill patients.
Dr. Brunson provides surgical and reconstructive hospital dentistry for patients who have had facial trauma. This includes hospital emergency room treatment to in office care. He is also the Santa Fe Ski Area emergency dentist providing help for injured skiers. Having a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry has given Dr. Brunson the ability to provide exceptional dental care to his patients and to give back to the community by providing charitable emergency dentistry.
